Often yes. We use a paint depth gauge to check for repainted panels, look for inconsistent panel gaps, check for welding marks on chassis rails and inner structure, and look at the underside for evidence of impact or repair. We can't detect everything but we'll surface most major prior damage.

We'll list them in the report, explain how serious each is, and quote the cost to fix the significant ones. That gives you three options: negotiate the price down, walk away, or buy knowing what you're in for. Most buyers find this is the most useful part of the inspection.
